A GODLY GRANDPARENT

Family is a special gift from God . Godly grandparents are a special treasure to be cherished and loved . If your grandparents are still living , you have a lot to be thankful for in your life . Spend time with them , and tell them that you love them . It is so easy to take grandparents for granted . They can teach you a lot about life if you will take time to listen . God would have them to be a Godly example to their children and grandchildren , if they fulfill His true purpose . Grandparents can make a great difference for Christ in their family’s lives .

Jacob had a wonderful grandfather , who truly loved his God . His name was Abraham , the great man of faith . According to the Bible , Jacob and his grandfather Abraham were alive at the same time . Abraham walked close to God on the same path of faith that his grandson Jacob would later follow . God blessed Jacob with a great heritage .

I believe that Timothy’s grandmother had a tremendous impact on his life . She was a great example to her grandson . Paul was impressed with her life , which was a true compliment ! He said : " When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee , which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois , and thy mother Eunice ; and I am persuaded that in thee also . Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God , which is in thee by the putting on of my hands . "[ 2 Timothy 1 :5-6 ] Thank God , there was a family resemblance ! Lois lived her faith , and was a light for others , including her precious grandson ! Who can fathom the impact of Godly grandmothers and grandfathers ? They are mighty tools in God’s hands !
