UNSPEAKABLE JOY 09-02-07 Brother Darrell Wellman There is true joy and peace in serving Jesus Christ . How can His people go around with a frown , when there is so much to be happy about ! If you have asked Jesus to come into your life , you have invited joy into your heart ! Christians can " ... rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory : " [ 1 Peter 1: 8 ] I’m sure glad I’ve got something to be happy about ! Jesus saved me from eternal death , and made me a child of the Father ! Praise Jesus , Satan can’t steal my joy ! He’s already beat ! Jesus said to the Philadelphia believers : " Behold , I come quickly : hold that fast which thou hast , that no man take thy crown ." [ Revelation 3 : 11 ] Dear Christian , take a firm hold on joy , and don’t let the enemy loosen your grip . Don’t get obsessed with your circumstances . Remember who you are in the Lord , and where your going ! Remember Nehemiah , who said : " ...the joy of the Lord is your strength ." [ Nehemiah 8 : 10 ] It’s an unspeakable joy ! Do you want the joy in your life that only comes from a personal relationship with Jesus ? You are never going to find true peace or happiness in the world . Isaiah 57 : 20-21 says : " But the wicked are like the troubled sea , when it cannot rest , whose waters cast up mire and dirt . There is no peace , saith my God to the wicked ." You’ll never find true joy in cars , houses or land . All material things are going to pass away . Where are you going to be then ? I’m planning on living forever in the sweet joy of my Lord ! The road to eternal joy and life begins with simply believing that Jesus is God’s risen son . Confess this with your mouth publicly , and you life will be completely changed ! Jesus will give you unspeakable joy ! |
