HOPE October 09, 2005 Bro Lonnie The believer’s hope is to live in this life with all the assurance that God’s Word brings, and then die or be rapture out of this life into an eternal heaven. How could we face death without this kind of hope? How could we enjoy life without hope that goes beyond the grave? Hope and heaven go together-For a Christian our hope is in heaven. (Jesus, our Lord and Savior)
Heaven is a place of complete rest-a place free from all trials-A place where we will be healed from all sickness and disease.-A place of joy, happiness, and life unending.
Heaven is Promised to the Believer. When the Christian speaks of Heaven, he speaks of something sure, a certainty that fills that longing in his heart. The Christian’s hope and joy includes an inheritance, which includes a home where there is: No down payment, realtor fees or closing cost. No mortgage payments, property taxes, or foreclosures. It is God’s free gift to the Believer. It is reserved for him. Jesus is the Master Builder, and the Architect. It is a place where everything is New; A new City, with streets of gold, foundations of precious stones, and gates of pearl. A new life untainted by sin and every broken heart will be healed. A place where death will be forbidden No one is good enough to merit heaven, although the door is open to all those who will put their faith in Jesus Christ. You see He is not just a way...He is the Way.
When we trust Jesus and His finished work....He enrolls our name in the Lambs Book of Life. That’s peace and joy beyond our comprehension.
Heaven is real, and so is hell. Hell is a place of everlasting torment and unimaginable misery. My mission in life is to inform everyone that they don’t have to go there. Get peace and joy without money and without price. Get Jesus.
