A THANKFUL HEART

Christians who have experienced the awesome blessing of salvation and new life in Christ , should have a thankful heart . Every day should be a day of thanksgiving for the sweet blessings of God . Our lives can become so busy and demanding in these modern times in which we live , but we need to take time to praise God , thanking Him for what He has richly given . Prayers should be more than request lists . They should include times of thanksgiving and praise .

" In every thing give thanks : for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you ." [ 1 Thessalonians 5 : 18 ] Considering things Jesus has given me , I should be so very thankful !

Every day Jesus should be praised for the blood He so freely shed . " ... God so loved the world , that he gave his only begotten Son , that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life ." [ John 3 : 16 ] Every day I want to thank God for the blood He shed for me . You see , when I was dying spiritually in sin , I received a blood transfusion ! Jesus had the only blood type that could save me because it had no contamination of sin ! Today I would have no spiritual life if it weren’t for the blood ! " ...and without shedding of blood is no remission ." [ Hebrews 9 : 22 ] Praise God for the precious blood of the perfect lamb !

Can you please take a moment and think about your life ? Do you have a nice home ? This is a blessing from Jesus , who wants you to see His home someday ! Do you have family in your life that you love ? This is another blessing from Jesus , who died so whoever accepted Him could be part of His family ! Have you experienced good health ? Good health is a gift from Jesus Christ , who wants most of all for you to experience spiritual good health by inviting Him into your heart , if you don’t know Him . Anything in your life that’s good came from Jesus !
