God Has A Place November 25, 2007 Bro. Lonnie The eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms: and shall thrust out the enemy from before thee: and shall say, Destroy them... Det. 33:27 As a children we were dependent on the home that our parents provided, and not once did we doubt the safety and security of our place of abode. We read in God’s Word where He provided a place of refuge for His children in the times of trouble. There was a time when there was no place to go. Have you ever been there? God takes the troubled soul and provided protection and rest. A place to shut the world out and dwell in quiet security. Though sin may drag us down, underneath are God’s everlasting arms. God has promised us that we will always have a place to go. If we go to Him we can lay our burdens down and find sweet peace in His sanctuary. There is no fear of evil when we are with God. No wonder David would say: The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer. He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation,. He is my high tower, my refuge, and my savior. God knows that the devil tempts, entices, and uses every underhanded trick to deceive His children, but "Jehovah God" is a refuge for the oppressed, and for those that are in trouble. As a child we felt most protected when in the presence of our parents and it’s reassuring to know that you can get even closer to God. So if you feel like life is a uphill battle, and your are alone most of the climb, God has a place. He will provide a refuge in His Pavilion, until we reach our Heavenly Home. |
