Who Will Go ? November 05, 2006 Bro. Lonnie The greatest need in the land today is salvation. Monies and resources are being poured into programs that are not working. We have the ability to reach every person on earth, today. I believe that it is time to be about the Father’s business. Missionary work is a command of God. Before Jesus went back to heaven, He left the disciples with this command: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and , lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Mt. 28:19-20 Since the gospel was freely given, we have an obligation to our fellow man to share it freely. Jesus, Himself, was our greatest example, going from city to city teaching and healing all that would come to Him. Nothing has changed, Jesus still receives all that will come to Him with a broken heart, and a contrite spirit. To many of our people today are not willing to tarry and wait upon the Lord. All training and guidance must come from Him. Moses was a good example of someone that was educated in the finest schools of his day, and yet he was trained for 80 years to do 40 years of work. The apostle Paul was another who was educated to the letter of the law, and yet God schooled him for 3 years on the back side of the desert, before sending him forth with the gospel. Men and women must look into the same mirror that God is looking into, before we can see ourselves as God sees us. Isaiah was a prophet who thought himself to be ready for the service of God until he seen himself through God’s eyes. It was then that he cried; " Woe is me, for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips." Isa. 6:5 God cleansed Isaiah with the fires of heaven, and He will do the same for all willing servants. There are no limits to what a spirit filled child of God can do, when opportunities are not neglected. |
