A GODLY MOTHER 4-13-=7 Brother Darrell Wellman " Who can find a virtuous woman ? for her price is far above rubies ." [ Proverbs 31 : 10 ] Oh how Godly mothers who guide their children in the right ways of the Lord , should be treasured , and recognized . They are special gifts from God . A Godly mother can give her child something that no amount of money , or material things can provide . She can teach her children about Jesus Christ , the greatest gift ! " Train up a child in the way he should go : and when he is old , he will not depart from it ." [ Proverbs 22 : 6 ] The wholesome teaching of a Godly mother can have a powerful influence on a child’s life long after she is gone . It’s part of her memorial . A good mother teaches her children by example . When a mother’s speech and actions reflect the teachings of God’s word , what a powerful inspiration for her children . How can she be a good teacher when her behavior contradicts her words . Proverbs 31 :25-26 says of a Godly woman : " Strength and honour are her clothing ; and she shall rejoice in time to come . She openeth her mouth with wisdom ; and in her tongue is the law of kindness . The Godly mother is certainly not immune from making mistakes , but her life should consistently reflect the love and teaching of Jesus Christ . What a blessing she is to her child who is taught to love Jesus ! The greatest joy a mother can experience is the knowledge that she led her children to follow Jesus . How wonderful it is when little feet are taught to walk the right path , and are directed to the house of God . How wonderful it is when little hands are taught by their mothers to reach out to Jesus through prayer . They may never receive a medal in this life , but oh what a reward is waiting on them in Heaven ! Their contribution is priceless ! Being a Godly mother is a very special and joyous calling from God . It’s also a great responsibility because she will have to give account to God for how she raised her child . I’m so glad I had the example of a Godly mother in my life . No words can truly express how much that means ! If you want to be a better mother , and you don’t know Jesus , believe that He is God’s risen son . Confess it publicly today ! Jesus will give you unspeakable joy and peace . He’ll make you a living example of His love , and a Godly mother !
