A REFUGE FROM THE STORM "God is our refuge and strength , a very present help in trouble . Therefore will not we not we fear , though the earth be removed , and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea ; " [ Psalm 46 : 1-2 ] What powerful words from the sweet Lord ! I don’t have to fear because I have an awesome refuge . He is my tower that I can run to in the storm , and find sweet peace and comfort . The enemy can’t touch my relationship with the Lord because I am trusting Jesus as my refuge ! That doesn’t mean he can’t come against me and throw traps in my path , but as long as I hold to Jesus I am protected , for he is my refuge ! Praise the sweet name of Jesus ! In Mark 4 , there was a powerful storm that hit the ship Jesus was on , while He was sleeping . However , there was no reason to fear because Jesus was on board ! Nothing could have happened to the ship . If Jesus is your refuge , you don’t have to be intimidated by life’s storms . Jesus can calm the storm ! At His word the water and wind had to obey , that day Jesus was on the ship . Are you sailing with Jesus today ? I’m so glad I turned my ship over to Him , and let Him be captain ! Jesus is a true refuge from the storm . If you don’t know Him , Jesus wants to be your refuge . Have you been going through a storm in your life ? Jesus wants to be your refuge and strength . He wants you to have joy in Him . The writer said : " Sing aloud unto God our strength : make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob . " [ Psalm 81 : 1 ] Jesus can give you a song even in the midst of the storm ! What a refuge He can be for those who trust Him ! Believe today that Jesus is God’s risen Son . Make a public confession of this knowledge . You will find a sweet refuge from the storm !
