Wisdom

March 29, 2009Bro. Lonnie

Wisdom is a special gift from God, without wisdom we do not know how to apply knowledge. We live in a time when knowledge is increasing so rapidly that our minds can’t comprehend. We have computers operating computers. Our whole economic system depends on computers.

Is it any wonder the condition that we are in today? Men are out of the picture. We are letting machines make the decisions that affect each of us. Machines have no compassion, mercy, or understanding. We haven’t used our minds in so long that we cannot do even simple tasks without the aid of a computerized object. Yes! We have knowledge, but where is wisdom?

Imagine having a new automobile, and not knowing how to operate it. You have the instructions, but without the wisdom to apply them, they are useless.

You know the real tragedy of today is, underneath all the things and stuff, lies wisdom.

God has given us a manual for life, (the bible) and most of the people have the idea that it is not applicable in our lives today, it’s to old fashioned, if it doesn’t fulfill the lust of the flesh, then it is not wanted.

Who knows more about an object than the creator? God is the Creator of all things, past, present, and future. God is the ultimate authority in all matters, and He challenges each of us to try Him and see if He isn’t all that He says He is. God is love, and His precepts are understanding.

The wise man Solomon informs us that wisdom enables man to distinguish between true and false, good and bad, and where our priorities should be. He confess’s that he lacks wisdom and knowledge and that he is depending on the Lord. I Kings 3:7 He that lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally. James I:5

Get wisdom and with all thy getting get understanding. Forget it not. Pr. 4:5 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." it’s no wonder that fools hate knowledge.

We are to seek after wisdom and knowledge as if it were a treasure, more valuable than silver and gold.

God is the Architect of the Universe, so why not trust Him, He knows how everything was made. He is the Creator of all.
