CELEBRATING THE RESURRECTION

" I am he that liveth , and was dead ; and , behold , I am alive for evermore , Amen ; and have the keys of hell and of death . [ Revelation 1 : 18 ] Only one could make that statement ! His name is Jesus , who defeated death . Jesus birth , in which God came in the form of man , was a truly special historical event . Jesus death to pay the penalty of sin , was also a historical event . However , if Jesus’ story had ended there , He would have been like any other man who was subject to the power of death . Jesus did not stay in the grave , but triumphed over death through His glorious resurrection ! No event in history can ever top His resurrection . Today, I serve a Saviour who is alive ! I don’t want to serve any dead gods . My Lord lives in my heart , and I can talk to Him today ! I know He is alive , for I can feel His presence ! Jesus said : "... because I live , ye shall live also . " [ John 14 : 19 ]

Christians can celebrate Jesus’ resurrection every day . We should show others that we belong to a living Saviour , by the way we live . We shouldn’t go around with a frown , when we have so much to be excited about . Jesus is alive and it should show in our lives ! Nehemiah said : " ... this day is holy unto our Lord : neither be ye sorry ; for the joy of the Lord is your strength . " [ Nehemiah 8 : 10 ] Praise Jesus , I’ve really got something to be excited about today , because my Saviour lives ! I am not ashamed to let people know about the joy of my heart ! Because of Jesus’ resurrection , I can live with Him forever !

Is Jesus alive in your heart today ? If you don’t know Jesus Christ , you are dead and are on the path to destruction . Though you are breathing and walking around , you have no spiritual life with God . Jesus came to bring life . Believe today that He is God’s risen son . Publicly confess it , and Jesus will perform a resurrection in your life ! He’ll give you a brand new heart ! You’ll know what it means to celebrate the resurrection !
