God Made All

Genesis chapter 1 records God making the earth and all things upon it. The flowers, trees, sand, birds, clouds, horses, everything. He took great care in making the earth, putting everything in just the right place. Why exactly do you think God did this? Verse 26 give the answers: for us. He made it for our use and pleasure.

God took all the time in the world, pardon the pun, to make it a show place. He stood the trees upright, put just the right tint on the grass, and even dusted! Yep, He put dust everywhere it needed to be. (So the next time your cleaning watch the complaining because your handling some of God's creation). He had to get it right too because company was coming. God decided to invite someone like Him over for a chat and some fellowship. After taking a look around the far reaches of Heaven without finding anyone fitting the bill, He scooped up some of the dust that was carefully placed and created the human race. As they say - the rest is history.

God's beautiful creation is all around us except now some of it is stained with sin. Walking through this life it becomes easy to focus on the sin stained part of the world and the misery that accompanies it, not seeing the good. I find it better to look at the world and man in a different manner. Its kind of like wearing sunglasses on a bright day but it filters out the ugly of sin. Instead of putting something on my eyes, I let someone into my heart - God's son. You see many years after the beginning chapters of Genesis were carried out God too saw the sin and put a plan into effect that we know as John 3:16. Invite Him into your life today and enjoy the all the things God made for our pleasure.
