SOMEONE TO TRUST IN

" In my distress I cried unto the Lord , and he heard me . " [ Psalm 120 : 1 ] The writer knew where to turn in time of trouble and need . He knew he had someone to trust in ! I am so glad I have someone to trust in . His name is Jesus , the name that Satan cannot overcome . I don’t have to let fear and doubt control my life . Like Paul told Timothy " ... God hath not given us the spirit of fear ; but of power , and of love , and of a sound mind . " [ 2 Timothy 1: 7 ] What a powerful promise ! Praise Jesus , I have someone to trust for my help . Jesus is my best friend and guide !

The writer directs me to turn my attention to " ... Jesus the author and finisher of our faith ; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross , despising the shame , and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God . " [ Hebrews 12 :2 ] Through good times or bad , He is the one on which we should be focused . Satan would like us to be focused on problems and challenges of life , when we should be trusting in Jesus , who has the answers . Don’t let him distract you , or make you feel overwhelmed . Jesus is a lot bigger than that ! I’ve got to remember that I have someone to trust . Jesus is a reliable friend who loves you and me more than we could comprehend ! He wants you to depend on Him in trouble . He is someone we can trust in ! Praise His sweet and awesome name !

If you don’t have Jesus as your personal friend and Saviour , you can come in contact with Him today in a very personal way . Repent , which means to turn from the path of sin , and ask the Lord to forgive you . Believe today that Jesus is God’s risen son . Confess your faith publicly . How awesome to have someone to trust in !
