THE CHRISTMAS LIGHT

I recently got to enjoy the sight of beautiful lights . I am reminded , however , that there is a light much more beautiful and bright than any type of earthly light . His name is Jesus , and I am so glad He shines in my heart ! What a wonderful light and joy He brings ! It’s great to be able to decorate and display bright lights in anticipation of Christmas . We shouldn’t allow ourselves , however , to be blinded to the true light that can only be found in Jesus . He is the Christmas light ! " ... God so loved the world , that he gave his only begotten Son , that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life . "[ John 3 : 16 ] God sent His son to be the true Christmas light ! Praise the sweet name of Jesus , the Christmas light !

Christmas isn’t about presents or decorations , although there is nothing wrong with these things as long as they don’t take away from the true Christmas light . Christmas is all about Jesus . He is the true light and joy to celebrate . " In the beginning was the Word , and the Word was with God and the Word was God . The same was in the beginning with God . All things were made by him ; and without him was not any thing made that was made . In him was life ; and the life was the light of men . " [ John 1 :1-4 ] Jesus is the Christmas light today that will shine through every life lived for Him ! Thank God for that beautiful light !
