CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR WITH JESUS

I think of the beginning of the new year as being a very special time . Christians can treasure it as a great time to reflect on , and be thankful for the blessings of the past year . 1 Thessalonians 5 : 18 says : " In every thing give thanks : for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you ." Thankfulness should be a huge part of a Christians’ life . I have so many blessings I can be thankful for in my life this year ! There are no words that can properly and adequately express such blessings from Jesus ! Christians have a lot more to celebrate than those who don’t know Him . If the Lord permits me to live , I want to celebrate the new year with Jesus ! Praise Jesus !

The new year is also a great time for Christians to renew their commitment to God . We should have a desire to do more and be more for God , if He permits us to live another year .

I know it is so easy to make resolutions that don’t last very long into the new year . If , however , we sincerely ask God to give us a real determination , and passion to be more for Him , with His

help it would be amazing what could be accomplished ! Don’t let failures and painful experiences of the past hinder your future . To do so is to allow Satan to win . In Philippians 3 : 13 the writer says : " ... forgetting those things which are behind , and reaching forth unto those things which are before , ... " Make the beginning of the new year special by yielding yourself to

Jesus’ glory and direction . Listen to sound advice which says : " Finally , my brethren , be strong in the Lord , and in the power of his might . " [ Ephesians 6:10 ] Celebrate with Jesus !

If you don’t know my sweet Lord Jesus Christ , you are missing out on the greatest gift you could possibly have in your life . Don’t you want to start the year with a new purpose and joy in your life ? You can have this great blessing today ! Romans 10 : 9 says : " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus , and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead , thou shalt be saved . "You won’t need fireworks . You can celebrate the new year with Jesus !
