A LOVE LIKE NO OTHER

Love is a special gift from God , the author of love . 1 John 4 :8 says : " He that loveth not knoweth not God ; for God is love ." Each type of love has it’s special place .

How wonderful it is to experience the love of special friends . David knew that kind of love . He and Jonathan were united together by a bond of unselfish love . David refused to allow their friendship to be overshadowed by other things .

How beautiful is the love of a faithful marriage . " Many waters cannot quench love , neither can the floods drown it : ..." [ Song Of Solomon 8 :7 ] A man who truly loves his wife , and a wife who truly loves her husband , can conquer strong adversity , growing even stronger in their love for each other .

Another kind of love is the powerful , unconditional love of a mother . I think of Hannah , and how she loved Samuel so much . He was the answer to her prayer , and she dedicated him to God . She made coats for him . He was her treasure , as every child is to a loving mother .

There is a love , however , that goes beyond any other type of love . Jesus’ love is stronger than all other loves . He loved you before you were even born ! He loves you more than you can even imagine ! He gave his life on the cross to save me , and his precious blood will save all others who will accept him in their heart . " For God so loved the world , that he gave his only begotten Son , that whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have everlasting life ." [ John 3 : 16 ] That’s a love like no other ! If you don’t have Christ in your life , believe that Jesus is God’s risen son . Confess it publicly . Jesus will change your life and fill it with sweet joy !
